Background
Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP) is one of the leading firms of
consulting actuaries in the UK. The firm currently has 67 partners and
over 450 staff based in offices in London, Winchester and the
Channel Islands, with subsidiaries in Belgium and Switzerland. LCP has
been producing its annual 'Accounting for Pensions' survey of
FTSE 100 pension scheme deficits/surpluses for the past 14 years.
Brief
To promote LCP as a leading firm of actuaries and consultants in the UK
and Europe and increase awareness of LCP's reputation among pension
decision makers within the FTSE 250. With an increase in the number of
pension reports, LCP additionally wanted to establish the Accounting
for Pensions report as the most authoritative in the market compared to
recent rivals.
What we did
A press conference was organised to launch the report with
presentations from three LCP partners. The press conference was
attended by 26 print and broadcast journalists from print and broadcast
media including the BBC, FT, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Daily Mail,
the Express and Reuters.
Results
A total of 166 press articles appeared including 29 in national
newspapers, 29 in regional newspapers, 49 on websites, 62 in the trade
press and five on newswires. This was bolstered by 41 broadcast
appearances on national and local television and radio including a live
interview with Declan Curry on BBC Breakfast News.
The coverage valued at advertising rate card price was worth over
£310,000 and firmly placed LCP in the spotlight. |
